Saving Lives,
One Paw at a Time

Our Mission

Committed to Saving and Rehoming Abandoned Pets

Our mission is to provide compassionate care, safe shelter, and a second chance for every animal that comes through our doors. We are dedicated to promoting animal welfare in our community through pet adoption, spay/neuter programs, and humane education.

The Pike County Animal Shelter provides crucial rescue services, working to save and rehome stray and homeless domestic pets in Eastern Kentucky. Through their dedicated efforts, they offer these animals a second chance by providing them with a safe environment and connecting them with loving, permanent homes.

Rescue

In addition to their core services, the Pike County Animal Shelter is dedicated to the rehabilitation of animals in their care. This includes providing a nurturing environment for animals that may have experienced neglect or trauma, helping them to become trusting and ready for a new home.

Rehabilitate

If you are unable to keep your pet, please contact the Pike County Animal Shelter to discuss your options. They can provide guidance on the rehoming process and, if needed, will work with you to arrange a surrender to the shelter, giving your pet the best chance at a new, loving home.
